CRAZY CANADIAN CHICK GOES AFTER DANA AT Q&A

Apparently this crazy girl is a big Tito fan and she kept yelling shit out at Dana so he started calling her Tito's mom and Jenna..lol I know a lot of people hate the guy but why would you go to his q&a if you hate him this much? I guess she was also swearing at him and giving him the middle finger etc. Whatever, thanks for making Canadians look like a$$holes stupid. Here is a quick article about an interview with Dana where he explains that taking Crocop away from Pride was a business move in the UFC's effort to "Kill Pride". Sad, they killed the best MMA show on the planet.

I guess this means GSP will be fighting BJ Penn next ...hopefully in Canada again. It was funny to see Penn run into the Octagon to try to hype people up. He didn't even give GSP time to speak about his fight with Fitch..lol

Brock has a penis tattoo on his chest. Although I was impressed with his improved skills, I was disgusted with his WWF/WWE antics. i.e. ripping the microphone from Rogan, pushing Heath after the bell etc. I was actually defending this guy for a long time but I just cant stand him now. Might be time for him to get in there with Minotaro for a real taste of skill.

This was a good fight. I wanted Roger to win. It would have been even better if Kenny engaged with Roger a little more but he did what he had to do to pull off the win. The funny thing is that I kept seeing a clip of Kenny screaming that he wants to see more fights finish in the UFC....ummm he didn't fight that way.

WHY YOU SHOULD WATCH THE GSP FIGHT...

TOO MUCH MMA??!?

For the longest time I was one of the biggest MMA fans I knew. I was watching any and every event no matter how armature, wearing the clothes, going to grappling class, talking about it at work and with friends and putting this blog together. Then one day I think I broke my MMA bone. I stopped doing all of the things I mentioned above and I don't know why. It was almost like I got an MMA cold. So here is what I'm going to do to bring back the excitement for myself. 1 - Update the blog less frequently; This is MMA not Hollywood so we don't need to know that GSP ate a Big Mac in Montreal or that Chuck Liddell took a big $hit at Wendy's. 2- Watch less MMA; As much as I support the smaller shows, I'm going to pull myself away. 3 - No more training. Sure I'll throw on the Gi to have some fun with friends but I'm simply out of the game. Too bad, I was a good yellow belt for the last 10 years..haha. 4. Not post this update until I think I'm ready again.

After a nice summer break, I'm finally back to make some more updates.

I might be in Montreal for work during this weekend. Should be a good time to be back in the City to watch GSP for the second time. Too bad its not live again :( To be honest, I'm only excited about the GSP fight and the Heath Herring fight. F the UFC for not putting on bigger fights.

This is awesome news. I'm still really pissed with the UFC for 1) Putting Andre's last fight on the under card which was a real big dickhead move by Dayna and 2) For letting him go. Andre is an awesome fighter and he's lots of fun to watch. WTF were they thinking. Im just happy to see the dude back.

THE FATHER OF MMA

I'm so lucky to have grown up in a household that was dominated by Martial arts and bolywood movies back in the day thanks to my older brothers. Everyone wanted to be Bruce Lee and I even had the same shoes as a kid. If you re-watch some of his movies today you'll see leg locks, arm bars, chokes etc. This is a tribute to the legend. I definitely wish we had more time with this guy.

Note the guiatine choke at 1:51 he uses to finish off non other than Chuck Norris. Also check out the arm triangle he throws on Kareem Abdul-Jabar at 2:22. The dude he grabs at 2:51 is Jackie Chan.

ELITE XC ON CBS RATINGS HIT 6.5 MILLION

A lot of hardcore fans are not happy with the show. A few early stoppages, Kimbo's fight was weak and the show was too long are just a few of the complaints. I thought it was a typical MMA show for people to see. There are always complaints about an early stoppage here or there and the fact that the fav guy, Kimbo, almost lost is another great thing about MMA that was showcased. Anything can happen! I thought the Lawler fight was good along with Gina's fight. We'll see some good rematches and Kimbo will continue to work on his ground game.

-Bas (Kimbo's trainer) thinks Kimbo should have lost in the second round here

-Brett Rogers calls Kimbo "garbage" at post fight conference here and almost leads to fight.
